Spring Co-ed Flag Football at Lewis and Clark Sundays

Sandwiched in the middle of Sunday's action was the closest game of the day between two perennial teams--cheeseburger and Blood, Sweat and Beers. They had gone back and forth all game with cheeseburger now holding the ball on the final drive. They had a few seconds left for one last play. The QB dropped back and threw a dime to the receiver in the end zone where only he could catch it. The defensive back was on the receiver's hip and the QB had only one small target, and he nailed it for the walk-off score as time expired.

We may seed the playoffs, but this week proved those brackets are just paper. Many of the lower seeded teams knocked off the favorites and through the brackets into disarray. Blood, Sweat and Beers is a prime example of these disruptors. They had a rocky regular season, which resulted in a tough playoff draw.

They won their first game of the day in a tight contest against Back That Pass Up, 44-36. They kept the hot streak going in a showdown with top overall seed, The Underdogs. BSB wasted no time and blitzed the favorites, ultimately winning 49-26.
