Visit the NJ Play Sports website to find the best league fit for you (and your team). Find the sport you’re most interested in trying, then choose the league that fits your schedule and skill level.

Sports

Basketball • Cornhole • Flag Football • Kickball • Soccer • Softball • Volleyball (Indoor)• Volleyball (Sand)

Skill Levels

Competitive • Intermediate • Recreational • Novice

• Competitive: This skill level is for those players looking to participate in the highest level of competition. Enjoying social sports is important, but ultimately these players "PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!"

• Intermediate: This skill level is for those players who are more skilled or competitive than our "Friendly/Recreational" participants, but not as competitive as our Advanced participants. This is a great option for those who are ready to graduate from our "Recreational" divisions OR maybe bit off a little too much in our "Competitive" divisions 🥴

•  

• Recreational: This skill level is for those players who are less concerned with being competitive and more interested in being social. This doesn't necessarily mean that the players are unskilled; however, this is also a great opportunity to learn a new sport and make some new friends!

• Novice: Want to try a new sport? Here for the happy hour? Or maybe you just really just have no interest in winning  or losing? Novice leagues give you a chance to get out, active, and social, without any competitive stress.

Preseason

Once you’ve registered for the league, your preseason has officially kicked off! Below is a simple checklist to set you up for success, going into week 1:

☑️Review your confirmation email - you’ll receive this within seconds of completing your registration. There’s tons of valuable information that you won’t want to miss.

☑️A few days before your first game, you’ll receive a “Welcome Email” with your schedule, team color assignment, and a few other pieces of important information

Regular Season

Week 1 : When you arrive at the location of your first game, you’ll receive your league shirt as well as any other items you may need for the rest of the season. After your first game, you’ll receive an email asking for feedback about your week 1 experience

Throughout the season, after every game, our Site Managers will select a Player of The Game (aka MVP) to showcase on our Instagram and Facebook Pages!

Our Site Managers will also track statistics for all basketball, flag football, soccer, and softball games!

Week 4: You’ll receive one more email, from our team, to check-in and receive any additional feedback about your league experience

Playoffs

Depending on the league, either top teams will qualify for playoffs OR all teams will qualify for playoffs.  You’ll find details about the playoff format in the League Details, before you register. Teams who participate in the playoffs will compete in a single elimination tournament. The winners of the tournament will receive the coveted NJ Play Sports championship T-shirt! Our non-profit arm, Playing With Purpose, will also donate $100 in the winning team’s name, to the charity of their choice.
